Grant in the Spotlight: Utah Diné Bikéyah
(Washington, DC) December 7, 2020: The Wyss Foundation is pleased to announce its continued support for Utah Diné Bikéyah, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that works toward the healing of people and the Earth by supporting indigenous communities in protecting culturally significant, ancestral lands.
“The Wyss Foundation is proud to support Utah Diné Bikéyah and its ongoing efforts to deliver much needed emergency food, water, and other supplies to Native American tribes as the coronavirus continues to impact the Four Corners Region,” said Molly McUsic, President of the Wyss Foundation. “It is during challenging times like these when we all must join together and help those in need.”
“The Wyss Foundation’s support has significantly contributed to our ability to support people during the pandemic. This COVID-19 relief has been especially vital for the elders, who are the most at-risk population, and Utah Diné Bikéyah aims to continue providing relief as community members prepare for the fall and winter”, said Woody Lee, Executive Director. “We are grateful for the Foundation’s generous support.”
