Grant in the Spotlight: Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Teton Area
The Wyss Foundation is pleased to announce a $450,000 grant to Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Teton Area, a nonprofit dedicated to building homes and fostering community in northwestern Wyoming.
This grant will help Habitat for Humanity address the affordable housing crisis facing the Teton region. Habitat homes are built and sold at no profit to partner families and individuals through an interest-free loan to ensure affordable monthly payments. Current Habitat projects include an eighteen-unit housing development that will be made available to individuals and families earning between thirty to eighty percent of area median income.
"We are deeply grateful to the Wyss Foundation for their generous grant which empowers us to further our mission of building truly affordable homes in Teton County. This contribution is not just a donation; it's an investment in our community and provides hope for many families striving for a place to call home," said Kris Greenville, executive director of Teton Habitat.
“We are proud to support the great work of Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Teton Area,” said Molly McUsic, president of the Wyss Foundation. “Habitat’s efforts have had a transformative impact on the lives of many members of the Teton community.”
