(Washington, DC) November 16, 2020 — The Wyss Foundation is proud to continue its support of the Daemion Counseling Center, a nonprofit, community-based mental health center that provides clients in Southeastern Pennsylvania access to high-quality and affordable mental health counseling.

As a small and responsive organization, the Daemion Counseling Center is able to see clients within days of their call and combines the intimacy and proficiency of a private practice with the flexibility of a counseling center. Daemion’s services rely on the expertise of licensed therapists, counselors, and Master level interns, and their ability to help clients learn, change, and grow.

“Though consistently overlooked, mental health services are vital for heathy communities, and access to high-quality, low-lost counseling is an important part of that equation,” said Molly McUsic, President of the Wyss Foundation. “We are proud to support Daemion Counseling Center, which has provided its community with cost-appropriate mental health services for 50 years.”

“With levels of anxiety and concern rising daily due to COVID-19, economic shocks and the challenges of working from home, it feels more important than ever to fulfill our nonprofit mission of providing affordable mental health counseling,” said Margaret Magee, President/CEO of Daemion Counseling Center. “The Wyss Foundation’s generous support of Daemion has been crucial to our operation in these challenging times.”
