Nasra Amin Mohamed, a Master of Environmental Management candidate at the Yale School of the Environment, received her Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Carleton College. She previously worked as a communications and outreach consultant, advising government agencies in Washington State on light-rail expansion and soil removal projects. In this role, she engaged with historically underrepresented communities to participate in developing new infrastructure projects. She has also worked as a research assistant in a grassland ecology lab, studying prairie restoration techniques and management. She is specifically interested in land use change in the Midwest, conventional agriculture, and grassland conservation. She currently works as an urban forester at Urban Resources Initiative, serves as a member of the Yale Forestry Club, and is organizing this year's Environmental Film Festival at Yale.
