Molly Russell, an Environmental Policy and Planning student at the School for Environment and Sustainability and a Master of Public Policy student at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy received her Bachelor of Arts degree in environmental studies and history from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She worked for Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers and in the Environmental Law Center at Vermont Law and Graduate School. Molly volunteers weekly with the City of Ann Arbor Natural Area Preservation program and is also a member of the Society for Conservation Biology. Molly is working on her master's project to develop better management practices for the St. Pierre wetland, a 130-acre wetland property owned by the School for Environment and Sustainability. Molly hopes to pursue an approach to conservation that is collaborative and inclusive of all stakeholders. She aims to lessen the negative impacts of biodiversity decline and the loss of carbon-sequestering ecosystems.
