Grant in the Spotlight: Victory Programs
The Wyss Foundation is pleased to announce our continuing support for Victory Programs. Victory Programs is based in Boston, MA and helps individuals and families to overcome challenges like homelessness, substance use disorders, and/or health challenges like HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C and mental illness.
“The work Victory Programs does each and every day helps transform lives and the larger community. This is exactly the kind of work that inspires us here at The Wyss Foundation and we are excited to play a small part in ensuring their work can continue”, said Molly McUsic, President of the Wyss Foundation.
Victory Programs offers a wide range of services from operating New England’s largest community and resource center for people living with HIV/AIDS, to residential treatment for people in recovery, to family shelters, and even an urban farm. The guiding principle behind everything the organization does is the belief that no matter what the emerging issue is, everyone deserves support, treatment and care to help them overcome crisis.
“Victory Programs is deeply grateful for the ongoing and generous support we have received from the Wyss Foundation for our health, housing, and prevention services,” shares Vice President of Development and Communications, Marc Davino. “At Victory Programs, we pride ourselves on a forty-plus year history of opening our doors to anyone who needs help moving out of crisis, no matter what their circumstances. Providing a safe, welcoming place for people to stabilize their lives has always been a priority for us, especially for those who have nowhere else to turn for the care they need. The Wyss Foundation is enabling us to transform lives, and for that we are most appreciative.”
Victory Programs operates 19 health, housing and prevention programs in Boston, Cambridge and Topsfield, MA and serves more than 2,500 people every year.
