Grant in the Spotlight: Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy
The Wyss Foundation is pleased to announce a $600,000 grant to the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy, a nonprofit organization that promotes equitable and sustainable taxation to allow communities to address challenges today and in the future.
This grant will support the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy’s work to ensure that people and corporations pay their fair share of taxes at the federal level as a mechanism to address economic inequality. The Institute produces unique research and data on the distributional impacts of tax policy, helping advocates and policymakers better understand how to craft a more inclusive and equitable tax code.
“If we want economic justice, we have to start with tax justice. To create the kind of America and the kind of planet we need and deserve, good tax policy is essential,” says Amy Hanauer, executive director of the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy.
“The Wyss Foundation is proud to support the important work of the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy,” says Molly McUsic, president of the Wyss Foundation. “The Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy’s research and data lends a hand to the fight against economic inequality across our country.”
