Bella Harris

Wildlands Campaigner, Colorado Wildlands Project

Bella has practiced conservation social science and environmental outreach for nearly five years. She found her passion for the field while studying Wildlife Biology at Colorado State University and continued exploring the human dimensions of conservation issues by receiving her M.S. in Conservation Leadership. She is now the Wildlands Campaigner at the Colorado Wildlands Project (fiscally sponsored by Wilderness Workshop) based in Grand Junction, Colorado.

The majority of Bella’s career experience has focused on environmental outreach and community engagement. She previously worked in communities across Colorado and believes everyone should have the opportunity to form a personal relationship with nature. Bella originally hails from Grand Junction, Colorado and spent her childhood falling in love with the surrounding canyons, rivers, and ecosystems. Outside of work, Bella loves to experiment in the kitchen, and is always finding new ways to preserve and ferment different foods. She also loves to garden, and spend time with her sixteen year old border collie.
